Request For Accident Reports

If you would like a copy of an accident report, you must submit a request through the Texas Department of Transportation Crash Reports and Records website using the聽

You will search for a crash report using the聽Name聽of a person involved in the crash,聽Driver License/Identification Card Number聽of a person involved in the crash,聽Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)聽of a vehicle involved in the crash, or the聽TxDOT Crash ID聽assigned to the crash.

It can take up to 14 days from the Crash Date for the Crash report to appear available online. You will be assessed a fee for a copy of the report, you may choose between a certified or uncertified copy and a redacted or non-redacted copy of the report.
